John H. Daniels, Jr.
Mr. Daniels co-founded Willeke & Daniels with his partner Donald
C. Willeke in 1981. Since that time, he has practiced exclusively
in the areas of business law, litigation and family law. He currently
serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National
Sports Center Foundation which operates the National Sports Center
in Blaine, MN, and has in excess of $10 million in annual sales.
He is also Chief Manager of Wind Management, LLC, which is actively
engaged in electrical energy "wind farm" development in
Minnesota and in the Midwest Region. He served for a number of years
as general counsel to The In-Fisherman of Brainerd, Minnesota, a
magazine publishing and multimedia company. He oversaw its growth
and assisted in its ultimate sale to Cowles Media. Mr. Daniels served
for approximately 10 years as a Director of National City Bank of
Minneapolis, where he served on a number of committees, including
the Audit Committee. First and foremost, Mr. Daniels is a believer
in the value of small law firm representation. He believes the intense
personal and professional relationships which can arise through
small firm representation are a tremendous advantage. Mr. Daniels'
business and family-law clients tend to establish long-lasting relationships
with the firm. Mr. Daniels is admitted to practice in the State
and Federal Courts. Approximately half of his practice is family
law, where he appears in courts across the State. Mr. Daniels is
a strong believer in pro bono participation, having served as a
member of the Minnesota Racing Commission, the Minnesota Amateur
Sports Commission and, presently, the National Sports Center Foundation
(currently serving as its general counsel on a pro bono basis).
